Experience

I have gained extensive experience over the years through my work in the NHS.

I delivered long-term therapy in a Secondary Care Personality Disorders service, and short-term / time-limited therapy in the NHS's Primary Care IAPT - Improving Access to Psychological Therapies - initiative.

Education and Qualifications

I hold an MA from Cambridge University.

I have since gained a Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling from Cambridge University’s Institute of Continuing Education.

I then also achieved my Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Therapeutic Practice from the Scottish Institute of Human Relations, Validated by Glasgow Caledonian University, and Accredited by COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland - Scotland’s Professional Body for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I have worked as a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist since 2012.

Registration

In 2012 I became a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy): a regulatory body for the counselling and psychotherapy professions.

In 2013 I gained my BACP Certificate of Proficiency.

In 2017 I became an Accredited Member of the BACP, for which I had to prove a particular level of professional experience.

I hold valid professional indemnity insurance, my business is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and I hold a current DBS certificate.
