How to Book
If you are interested in talking to me about sessions you can either use email or the Contact Me page on here. Please provide an email address and / or telephone number, and a suitable time for me to get in touch.
I provide a free ten-minute telephone consultation. In this initial telephone conversation I will be able to answer any questions you might have, and we can briefly discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. This gives me the chance to see if I can provide the right service for you, and gives you the chance to decide if I might be the right therapist for you.
You may then choose to have an online assessment session, via Zoom.
If after this assessment session, you choose to continue sessions with me, we will arrange a regular weekly time slot for either online or in-person sessions, and I will send you a therapeutic contract.
How to Prepare for Online Sessions
Confidentiality and concentration are extremely important in helping you to feel relaxed and open in your sessions. This can be challenging in your home environment. For this reason, I suggest you try to do the following every session:
Find a private space in your home where you will be undisturbed and not overheard
Ensure any young or vulnerable members of your household have sufficient care and supervision for the duration of the session
Turn off all other devices to minimise distractions (such as phones, the TV, or pop-up notifications)
Set up a space where you can sit comfortably for the whole session, if possible hands-free, and ideally with as much of you clearly visible to me as possible. I will have a more close-up set-up, so you can see my face better
Give yourself time to readjust after each session; you will probably use a lot of emotional energy, which is why therapy can feel draining and disorientating
